Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer or Geoscientist to join its Environmental Site Investigation and Remediation practice across multiple Ontario locations including London, Waterloo, Markham, Mississauga, Hamilton, Ottawa, Thunder Bay, and Sudbury.

You will provide technical expertise on a variety of projects, developing work programs and managing schedules, budgets, and client deliverables while supporting top-line growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of ESA-related experience with a relevant university degree.
• Master’s degree is an asset.
• QPESA or professional registration an asset.
• Strong client management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and mentorship to junior to senior staff on environmental projects.
• Lead ESA and remediation projects from proposal to completion.
• Oversee budgets and timelines; communicate progress to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements throughout project life cycle.
• Prepare and review technical reports and client presentations.
• Coordinate with clients and internal staff to develop new opportunities.
• Demonstrate sound application of established practices and guidelines.
• Develop creative, economical solutions to address project issues.
