What is the opportunity?
The incumbent is responsible for researching Corporate Actions events, tracking, escalating and posting all Mandatory Corporate Action events on multi-mainframe platform system. He/she is also responsible for liaison with 3rd parties to ensure that entitlements back of a Corporate Actions are received on a timely manner, as well as assisting with the flow of client inquiries received within the processing team.

What is the opportunity?
The incumbent is responsible for researching Corporate Actions events, tracking, escalating and posting all Mandatory Corporate Action events on multi-mainframe platform system. He/she is also responsible for liaison with 3rd parties to ensure that entitlements back of a Corporate Actions are received on a timely manner, as well as assisting with the flow of client inquiries received within the processing team.
What will you do?
- Ensures that all active physical corporate action events are processed and executed as per established Policy and Procedure.
- Provide back up for manager when required.
- Ensure that best practice is shared across all regional operating units undertaking similar processes.
- Maintenance of satisfactory internal and external Audit / Regulatory / Risk Ratings and Reviews.
- Perform reviews of existing policies and procedures on an ongoing basis to ensure they accurately reflect current processes.
- Ensure errors and omissions are kept to an absolute minimum and where occurring are not repetitive in nature.
- Provide training to new staff, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all corporate actions, while mitigating potential risk.
- Processing CDS and DTC deposits and CDS withdrawal request.
- Review, investigate and process Class Action payments to client account.
- Handle CDS Push-out events and process share transfer to Global Custodians.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 5-7 years Back Office experience within financial services industry
- Knowledge of Corporate Action Principals& Custody Platforms
- Intermediate Accounting
- Intermediate MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Post-Secondary Education or Equivalent
Nice-to-have
- Canadian Securities Course
