Role Overview

As a Senior Engineering Analyst – Press, you’ll lead critical capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact safety, quality, and throughput. Working hands-on in a high-volume manufacturing environment, you’ll manage equipment upgrades, troubleshoot technical issues on the floor, and drive cross-functional solutions from concept to execution.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and lead capital equipment projects from scope to buy-off (e.g., gear replacements, controls upgrades)
  2. Act as primary point of contact for equipment installation and refurbishment projects
  3. Lead and coach Engineering Analysts, hourly employees, contractors, and co-op students during projects
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve high-frequency technical issues on the production floor (“close-offs”)
  5. Support planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting efforts across multiple complex initiatives
  6. Drive cross-functional coordination during safety investigations, quality issue resolution, and Takt/Model changes
  7. Evaluate and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Change Instructions (ECIs)
  8. Support shutdown and weekend work schedules, including oversight of third-party vendors
  9. Lead Kaizen events and TPS-based process improvement initiatives to reduce cost and improve throughput
  10. Ensure systems comply with safety regulations and TMMC technical standards

What you'll bring

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  2. 3+ years of practical engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  3. Proven experience leading capital equipment installation and large-scale projects
  4. Hands-on leadership skills and ability to influence without authority across functions
  5. In-depth knowledge of Press shop operations is preferred
  6. Strong understanding of equipment design, functionality, and safeguarding
  7. Excellent communicator and project manager who thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  8. Experience with PLC/SCADA systems (e.g., ControlLogix, Mitsubishi Q, Proface, AVEVA)
  9. Familiarity with data acquisition and reporting tools like Power BI is an asset
  10. Willing to support overtime needs, weekend work, and occasional travel to the U.S. and Japan
  11. Flexible to work in either Cambridge or Woodstock locations
