Caddie is building a data-heavy front-end in Toronto, delivering an end-to-end solution that runs both in the cloud and on a customer network. You will own the UI from design to production, working with TypeScript/React and backend endpoints.

Ideal candidates move fast, think critically, and own the schema, screens, and alarms. Experience with AI tooling is a plus, and collaboration with founders is direct and hands-on.

Formación

• Strong TypeScript and React, and an eye for how something should look and feel.
• Design for people who are not software natives: clear labels, big targets, keyboard shortcuts.
• Build a data-heavy interface that stays fast, not a CRUD app with a chart library.
• Backend ability to ship endpoints: Python, Postgres, an AWS service or two.
• Use AI tooling extensively and review what it writes (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.).

Responsabilidades

• Own the end-to-end build of a cloud and on-premise data-heavy UI.
• Develop the review surface with TypeScript/React, handling large data sets.
• Implement platform screens: configuration, review queues, audit trail, admin.
• Create robust CI, tests (Playwright), and fast feedback loops to prevent regressions.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING

THE ROLE: YOU WILL BUILD IT END TO END

You own everything a scientist sees and touches, and it has to work the same in our cloud and offline inside a customer's own network.

• The review surface: TypeScript, React, SVG and Canvas over tens of thousands of data points
• Interaction: pointer events, drag, requestAnimationFrame, state that never disagrees with what is drawn
• The platform screens: configuration, review queues, audit trail, admin
• The plumbing: Vite, component and end-to-end tests in Playwright, CI that blocks regressions

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Strong TypeScript and React, and an eye for how something should look and feel
• You design for people who are not software natives: clear labels, big targets, and keyboard shortcuts for the experts
• You have built a data-heavy interface that stays fast, not a CRUD app with a chart library dropped in
• Enough backend ability to ship an endpoint yourself: Python, Postgres, an AWS service or two. Nobody is handing you a finished API
• You use AI tooling hard, and you are ruthless about reviewing what it writes (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.)

NICE TO HAVE

• Scientific or financial charting
• Apps that run offline or inside locked-down corporate networks
• Regulated software: audit trails, electronic signatures
