Job summary

Alithya seeks a Senior Engineer and Technical Lead to join the Engineering Sub-Division, delivering innovative engineering solutions across industries including nuclear, pharmaceutical, transportation, and mining. Lead multidisciplinary teams, advance digital systems, and influence executive leadership on strategic matters.

You will guide project delivery, support resource planning, and drive the division's engineering capabilities while collaborating with sales to grow business opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, System Design Engineering, or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
• 8+ years of experience in the nuclear industry.
• Experience in client-facing roles at nuclear power plants.
• Ability to deliver projects in high safety and quality environments.

Job description

The salary range for this position in Ontario is $125,000 to $160,000. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills and competencies, and unique qualifications.

Your role, your impact

As a Senior Engineer and Technical Lead, you'll join our Engineering Sub-Division, a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering innovative engineering solutions and professional services. We support industries such as nuclear, pharmaceutical, transportation, and mining, driving complex engineering initiatives, and developing solutions leveraging emerging technologies, including automation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and advanced visualization. Your leadership will help drive project delivery, team performance, and the continued evolution of the division's engineering capabilities.

• Solve complex technical and client-related matters;
• Provide technical leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams;
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop business opportunities and drive growth;
• Contribute to the development and execution of departmental strategy;
• Communicate with and influence executive leadership on strategic matters;
• Meet periodically with managers to discuss resources, projects, and overall strategy;
• Act as the first level of escalation for client concerns and provide recommendations for remediation;
• Review and prepare engineering design documentation and engineering change packages related to digital systems;
• Review and contribute to engineering proposals and estimates.

Keys to your success

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, System Design Engineering, or an equivalent discipline with strong exposure to computer and control systems;
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation;
• 8+ years of experience in the nuclear industry;
• Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles at nuclear power plants;
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects in environments with high safety and quality standards;
• Ability to effectively respond to evolving priorities across projects and teams.
• Experience leading technical teams.
