Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify and address false positive alerts within the SOC environment, ensuring alert noise is minimized without compromising detection accuracy.
• Serve as a SME on threat intelligence, conducting research on emerging threats and deploying solutions to prevent them.
• Lead efforts to optimize SIEM tools and other security technologies to improve detection effectiveness.
• Manage the Vulnerability Management Program, EDR, and Advanced Threat Protection.
• Oversee application security components such as SAST, DAST, and WAF technologies.
• Contribute to maintaining security, privacy, and crisis management policies.

Key qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT, or related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in IT security, with a strong background in systems and network administration (Windows, Linux, virtualization).
• Extensive experience in IT security roles and understanding of cyber threats.
• Technical expertise in Systems and Network Administration, Windows, Linux (ESX VMWare, MS Virtual Servers), SQL, and firewall management.
• Experience as an Information Security Advisor.
• Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional attitude.
• Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
