On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Senior Engineer for a 12 month contract.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Partner with product managers, designers, analysts, and other engineers to gather requirements and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions with a customer-centric mindset.
• Lead team projects to design and build solutions for ambiguous and difficult problems spanning multiple technologies, including TypeScript, React Native, Java/Kotlin, and Go, as well as multiple systems.
• Divide features into components and tasks that can be worked on in parallel for timely delivery.
• Develop high-quality, reusable, and scalable code involving multiple technologies.
• Pioneer the team's use of modern AI-powered development tools to deliver faster while maintaining quality and security standards.
• Champion engineering best practices by delivering well-tested, observable, well-documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Drive improvements to team processes and shape cross-team technical designs.
• Foster team growth by mentoring peers, conducting code reviews, participating in interviews, and supporting onboarding efforts.
• Take part in an on-call rotation to ensure the reliability and support of the team's services.
• Report to the Engineering Manager of the USA Regional Experiences team.

Qualifications

You have:

• Strong computer science, web, and native app fundamentals, with knowledge of design patterns.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Experience using AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
• 4+ years of React or React Native development experience.
• Expertise in one of the following programming languages:
  • TypeScript
  • JavaScript
  • Kotlin
  • Java
  • Go
• Excellent collaboration skills.
