Job summary

Affinity is seeking a Software Developer Engineer for a 12 month contract. You will develop high-quality, scalable software across React Native, TypeScript, Go, Java/Kotlin, and AWS, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities include rapid prototyping, leveraging AI-powered tools, and contributing to architecture and roadmaps to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals and design patterns.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of React or React Native development.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript/Kotlin/Java/Go.
• Knowledge of architecture, systems design, and Agile practices.
• Excellent collaboration skills.

• Develop high-quality, reusable, and scalable code involving multiple technologies, including React Native, TypeScript, Go, Java/Kotlin, and AWS, delivering well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient solutions with a customer-centric mindset.
• Develop prototypes rapidly to solve complex problems.
• Leverage modern AI-powered development tools to deliver faster while maintaining quality and security standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts to achieve outstanding customer experiences.
• Contribute to the architecture and technical roadmap of software systems, balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Contribute to code reviews, sprint rituals, hiring, and mentoring.
• Report to the Engineering Manager of the USA Regional Experiences team.

Qualifications

• Strong computer science, web, and native app fundamentals, with knowledge of design patterns.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of React or React Native development experience.
• Professional experience with one of the following programming languages:
• TypeScript
• JavaScript
• Kotlin
• Java
• Go
• Knowledge of basic architecture, systems design, and Agile practices.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
