Job summary

Arlo Technologies is hiring a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer in Canada to develop next-generation IoT and video streaming products. You will own firmware features from design through production, collaborating with hardware, cloud, QA, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in embedded firmware, deep knowledge of Embedded C/C++, RTOS, and Linux, and strong experience with video processing and networking protocols.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded firmware development experience in IoT/video products.
• Strong programming skills in Embedded C and C++ and RTOS/Embedded Linux.
• Experience with video streaming codecs (H.264/H.265) and multimedia.
• Experience with debugging embedded systems and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware for IoT/video products.
• Own major firmware components across the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with hardware, cloud, QA, and ODM partners for integration.
• Develop device drivers, protocols, RTOS components, and platform firmware.
• Troubleshoot complex firmware and system-level issues; optimize for performance.
