Job summary

Index Exchange seeks a Senior ELM - Developer Productivity to drive architecture and delivery of Developer Experience and Release Engineering, leading a globally distributed engineering team. You will architect gates and automate SDLC processes at scale.

You will partner with Quality & Delivery leaders to advance the gated SDLC roadmap, aligning with Test Engineering and Application Services while transforming release practices for better velocity and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience in commercial software development environments.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience leading delivery-focused teams.
• Hands-on experience architecting policy-as-code enforcement and SLO-driven progressive delivery.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and leading globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and delivery of Developer Experience and Release Engineering.
• Architect gated SDLC with deterministic and agent-evaluated gates across Define, Build, Verify, Release and Operate.
• Partner with peers to sequence the gated SDLC roadmap and align with Test Engineering and Application Services.
• Lead transformation of Release Engineering with clear, independent guidance on next steps.
• Assess current practices, identify gaps, and translate findings into actionable plans.
