Job summary

Teledyne Digital Imaging is seeking a Principal Electronics Designer to set the technical direction for electronics across machine vision platforms. You will architect board-level solutions to advance performance, scalability, and long-term product viability in a highly collaborative environment.

You will mentor senior engineers, influence roadmaps, and partner with product management to solve complex challenges while ensuring manufacturability and cost targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in electronics design.
• Expertise in analog, digital and mixed-signal circuits.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for electronics design across machine vision platforms.
• Architect next-generation board-level solutions for performance and reliability.
• Lead cross-functional engineering efforts on complex technical challenges.
• Define design frameworks, methodologies and standards across programs.
• Anticipate future technology needs and drive innovation in electronics architecture.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for critical design and production issues.
• Guide architectural trade-offs balancing performance, cost, manufacturability.
• Mentor senior engineers and grow technical capability within the unit.
• Influence product roadmaps with engineering leadership and product teams.
• Support customer engagements requiring deep electronics expertise.
