Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Electrical Substation Design Engineer to join our Power team. This role can be performed from anywhere in Canada or the United States, with responsibilities spanning design, analysis, and client coordination.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, deep knowledge of distribution systems and substations, and proficiency in 3D design software. Professional Engineer registration in Canada or the US is preferred.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of working experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems and substations.
• Knowledge of medium/high voltage power distribution and transmission.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical substation design engineering tasks and reviews.
• Prepare technical documents and RFP-based estimates.
• Coordinate schedules to meet cost, quality, and time objectives.
• Engage with clients and vendors to discuss design features and specs.
• Develop and review 3D models and installation layouts.
