Job summary

JLR in Timmins or Sudbury is seeking a Senior Electrical Professional to join the Electrical group. You will design, coordinate, manage projects from concept to completion for industrial/mining type projects, and apply electrical fundamentals using related software tools.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop proposals and estimates, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver world-class solutions that support community building in northern Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Designing, internal coordination, project management, and contract administration during construction of industrial/mining type projects, from concept through to completion.
• Leveraging your specialized electrical experience in industrial infrastructure/processes and/or mining markets.
• Assisting with the management of workload to ensure that project deadlines are met and final deliverables align with client expectations.
• Participating in the preparation of proposals and the development of estimates for engineering services.
• Applying electrical fundamentals, including the application and verification of related software tools.
• Preparing accurate, clearly written, and well-organized technical reports.
• Mentoring junior engineers, engineering graduates, and technologists.
• Working and collaborating with an established, integrated technical team of engineers, technologists and support staff on multidisciplinary projects.
