Job summary

Jobot in Hamilton, ON is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to deliver accurate, timely electrical estimates for large-scale projects including distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and data centers. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field, 10+ years of heavy industrial estimation experience, and a track record valuing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical estimation for heavy industrial projects.
• Experience estimating projects around $50M.
• Proficiency with Accubid and industry estimation tools.
• Strong knowledge of electrical trade scope and bid regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical drawings and specifications to estimate materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Ensure bids comply with bid depository regulations.
• Use Accubid to develop and maintain cost controls on projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors for information.
• Review cost discrepancies and variances for management review.
• Participate in bid meetings, presenting estimates to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
• Contribute to the team by performing related tasks as needed.
