Job summary

Stantec's Calgary office is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our growing multi-disciplinary team. You will design electrical systems, coordinate with clients, contractors and suppliers, and help deliver projects that span streetscapes to parks.

The ideal candidate has a Canadian P.Eng., 8+ years in consulting, and hands-on experience with 120V to 44kV power systems, lighting design, and power distribution. Travel within the region is expected as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Licensed P.Eng. in Canada.
• 8+ years in consulting engineering.
• Experience in low/high voltage, lighting, power distribution, grounding, and fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design from pursuit through construction.
• Develop and manage project scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Produce single-line drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment specs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
• Travel to sites within the National Capital Region as needed.
