Job summary

AECOM's Buildings + Places team in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our growing multidisciplinary group. You will support the delivery of complex building and infrastructure projects across Western Canada, collaborating with architects, engineers, planners and project managers to develop innovative, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with four years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing.
  • English proficiency essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical analyses, calculations, and routine tests in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Assist in preparing technical specifications, design drawings, memos, and reports.
  • Identify discrepancies in results and propose solutions using sound engineering judgment.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to fulfill project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to evaluate the electrical conditions and provide recommendations.
  • Provide technical or operational guidance to less experienced engineers, EIT’s and technicians.
  • Stay updated on industry codes, regulations, and best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.
