Vale Base Metals invites applications for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Central Engineering team in Thompson, Manitoba. This permanent role involves delivering technical leadership on electrical and control systems across mines and plants, with regular travel to underground operations.

The successful candidate will provide innovative engineering solutions, mentor team members, and offer direction to external consultants and construction contractors, while staying current with codes

Qualifications

Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Eligible for registration as a licensed Professional Engineer with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on electrical and control systems for Vale Manitoba Operations.
Mentor and guide other Central Engineering team members and external consultants/contractors.
Lead power system studies and ensure compliance with codes and best practices.
