Job summary

Hedgehog Technologies Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design and implementation of complex electrical and control systems.

You will ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code and other North American standards, develop robust power distribution designs, and guide multi-disciplinary teams through project lifecycles. Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in PLC-based control, EMC, and safety practices, plus strong documentation and mentorship skills in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
8+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering with design focus.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and implementation of complex electrical and control systems.
Ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and relevant standards.
Develop power distribution designs, including low and medium-voltage applications.
Conduct risk assessments for electrical/control systems and implement mitigations.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and project management teams.
Oversee selection, specification, and procurement of components and equipment.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
Participate in all project phases from concept to commissioning and support.
Maintain documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and reports.
