The Opportunity

Tower Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful commercial and institutional projects across Western Canada. We are looking for qualified candidates in the following locations: Calgary, AB | Kelowna, BC | Winnipeg, MB.

We seek individuals with a strong background in electrical design who want to be part of a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of experience in commercial and institutional electrical design. Applicants may be registered E.I.T. or Professional Engineers.

• Collaborate with senior designers, engineers, and drafting staff on projects involving lighting, power, emergency systems, fire alarm design, and single line diagram development per the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Develop electrical drawings and schedules at various project phases: preliminary, schematic, general arrangement, detailed design, tender, and construction drawings.
• Conduct site visits and surveys of existing electrical systems.
• Participate in design team meetings to ensure project value and efficiency for clients.
• Stay informed about current industry practices and technological advancements.

Position Requirements

• Diploma or degree in electrical technology or engineering from a recognized college or university.
• Experience in building design or construction.
• Strong technical, organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
• Proficient in interpreting technical specifications and design drawings.
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
• A valid driver’s license is considered an asset.
• A strong desire for professional development and career growth.
