About the Company

Our Client is an Ontario-based engineering and manufacturing company specializing in the design and production of high-performance power resistors and custom electrical products. Their solutions serve critical applications across power distribution, motor control, electric braking, power generation, and more. Their proudly Canadian-made products include Neutral Grounding Resistors, Load Banks, Motor Control Resistors, Harmonic Filters, and High Resistance Grounding Systems.

Our Client is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative electrical solutions. This hybrid position combines remote flexibility with on-site collaboration at the Mississauga facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of electrical products, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Create and manage electrical schematics using SolidWorks Electrical or equivalent tools.
• Develop and maintain PLC logic using Structured Text, preferably in CODESYS.
• Manage timelines, technical deliverables, and cross-functional coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee product testing and occasional on-site commissioning.
• Provide expert-level support to clients and internal teams, resolving technical challenges efficiently.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering

10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience

️ Background in power generation, distribution, transformers, or switchgear

️ Proficiency with SolidWorks Electrical (or similar software)

PLC programming skills (Structured Text), ideally in CODESYS (or similar)

Strong project management and multitasking abilities

High attention to detail and process discipline

Preferred Qualifications

P.Eng. license in Ontario
