About Our Team

Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineerfor server product development.At Lenovo, we pride ourselves on delivering end-to-end solutions tailored to meet even the most unique customer demands.

Our CSP solutions are conceptualized, developed, and deployed worldwide, all within our in-house expertise.

Location:This position is based in Morrisville, NC.

What You'll Do

• Work with System Lead & functional design team (ME/SI/Layout/Thermal/DC/CPLD) to do design feasibility study and complete the design concept proposal
• Lead the hardware solutions development
• Work with other hardware engineers or outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions
• Conduct feasibility studies, design margin, validation analyses and empirical testing on the designs
• This role would apply developed subject matter knowledge to design, analyze, develop, modify and evaluate the key components of the platform, integrate sub-systems and firmware and hardware.
• Ensure integrated circuitry based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines
• Cooperate with internal peer functions and outsourced design partners, to develop and implement parameters and test plans for the designs, including validation of hardware circuit quality/ robustness; mechanical tolerances/ assembly interference, form/fit/function, shock and vibration; electromagnetic interference; safety; reliability; thermal generation; and system power measurements and expected distribution
• Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used form prototype fabrication to production
• Perform hardware related validation, bug tracking and trouble shooting

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Server experience or computer architecture experience
• 10+ years of experience
