Key Responsibilities :
- Review and stamp electrical designs for projects of various sizes and complexities
- Provide technical leadership and direction on electrical systems including :
- Power distribution and generation
- Interior and exterior lighting and control systems
- Voice / data, security / CCTV, public address, nurse call, and related infrastructure
- Lead design strategy, audits, feasibility studies, and reporting
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers and designers
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site electrical and control system issues
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, and other engineering teams
- Conduct site visits and oversee construction-phase electrical services
- Contribute to developing and improving electrical design standards
Required Experience & Skills :
- 10+ years of electrical design experience in the building construction industry (minimum 5 years in Canada)
- Strong design background in fire alarm and complex electrical systems across sectors (residential, healthcare, commercial, industrial, institutional)
- Familiarity with medium / high voltage systems (asset)
- Deep knowledge of applicable codes (OBC, OESC, CSA, etc.)
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure
Qualifications :
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario
- Team-oriented, organized, and committed to mentoring and collaboration
