Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Designer is a team player capable of receiving and executing instructions from the Project Manager/Team Leader with minimal supervision. Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred. Excellent communication skills are essential. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and respond reliably to critical situations is required. The role includes supervising Junior and Intermediate Designers.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain design files
• Perform cable calculations
• Perform lighting modeling
• Design LV, HV, control, and lighting schematics and layouts with minimal supervision
• Ensure compliance with Introba design checklists and standards
• Review or prepare motor lists
• Select equipment following Introba procedures
• Coordinate electrical requirements with other disciplines and utility agencies
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates
• Attend field reviews and client meetings
• Review and supervise drafting; prepare/review markups
• Assist with fee proposals
• Maintain client relations

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years AutoCAD experience and 5+ years design experience in electrical systems
• Revit experience is an asset
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and electrical drawings
• Knowledge of electrical codes and site survey skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in coaching and sketching ideas
• Professional Engineer (PEng), Applied Science Technologist (AScT), or EIT designation preferred
• LEED Accredited Professional is an asset
