Job summary

NES Fircroft, a leading global engineering staffing provider, seeks a Senior Electrical Designer for industrial projects in Redwater, Alberta. 1-year contract with strong potential for extension, hands-on design, field execution, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in electrical design and field roles, with relevant industrial experience and an Electrical Technologist designation or equivalent; will support MCCs, switchgear, power distribution, and control systems

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical design, field, and commissioning experience.
• Electrical Technologist designation or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update electrical designs, drawings, and as-builts.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and field troubleshooting activities.
• Review and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
• Provide technical support for MCCs, switchgear, power distribution, and control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, project, and field teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Assist with construction reviews, work planning, and field modifications.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to support industrial projects in Redwater, Alberta. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with extensive experience in electrical design, field execution, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update electrical designs, drawings, and as-builts
• Support commissioning, start-up, and field troubleshooting activities
• Review and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams
