Job summary

Eaton's Milton, ON facility seeks a Lead Custom Order Product Specialist/Engineer - Electrical to provide design leadership and technical support for custom-order electrical products.

You will develop wiring diagrams, BOMs, and engineering drawings, mentor engineers, ensure code compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code, and collaborate across Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in electrical industry.
• Understanding and experience using and interpreting the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Demonstrated ability to provide mentorship and technical guidance to peers.
• Competency in using MS-Office, AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for complex custom-order electrical products.
• Lead Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and Configured-to-Order (CTO) projects.
• Coordinate engineering priorities with capacity-planning milestones.
• Manage BOMs within ERP and ensure design alignment with customer requirements.
• Act as senior technical resource for troubleshooting and design compliance.
• Apply Canadian Electrical Code and standards to safe product designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to improve manufacturability and production support.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge across teams.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in design for manufacturability and Lean Six Sigma.
