Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for an SR. Electrical/ Avionics Engineer to join our Engineering department based in Columbus, Mississippi. In this role, you will design, modify and integrate custom avionics and electrical packages for new AHI aircraft and/or retrofit. You will also create engineering drawings and reports, connect with partners in certification, production and flight test, support fleet sustainment activities and support STC projects.

Your Working Environment:
On the eastern border of Mississippi you'll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It's here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your challenges:
Design wiring diagrams, harness drawings and system architecture.
Review and facilitate engineering package release.
Can lead groups of engineers to complete projects along with representing the group at management meetings
Works independently with minimal direction from Engineering Management
Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting company objectives
Your boarding pass:
Posses a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited college/university or have equivalent applicable work experience (4 years).
Six (6) or more years' of directly applicable engineering experience in an aviation/aerospace manufacturing or completions environment.
AutoCad (familiarity with CATIA V5 and SAP programs preferred)
Be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
