Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Containers at the Edge to lead a distributed team delivering low-latency, secure edge container infrastructure. You will hire and mentor engineers, set the technical direction, and partner with product and operations to scale globally.

You’ll drive a durable roadmap, foster operational excellence, and contribute to core platform enhancements while balancing reliability with innovation across thousands of edge nodes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years managing Software Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering teams.
• 10+ years of distributed systems, CDN, or cloud infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on development experience in Go, Rust, or C/C++.
• Ability to drive a durable technical roadmap and collaborate across functional teams.
• Experience building and automating large-scale production infra in complex networks.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term strategic vision and multi-year technical roadmap, ensuring investments align with business goals.
• Hire and develop a high-performing team including software engineers, principal ICs and SREs, focusing on structure, talent development, and scaling capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders using a product-owner mindset to define clear roadmaps and priorities.
• Communicate strategy, progress, and risk to executives and technical leaders across the company.
• Leverage deep technical experience to contribute to development efforts and drive improvements.
