Job summary

e-STORAGE in Canada is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for on-site and cloud-based EMS for utility-scale energy storage systems. You will collaborate with leadership, engineering, and project execution teams to streamline software delivery.

The role emphasizes automation, IaC (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation), security best practices, and high availability across cloud and embedded edge devices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automation.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and operations to define best practices.
• Manage build servers, repositories, and related infrastructure.
• Monitor, debug, and resolve build/deploy issues to minimize downtime.
• Implement release channels for on-site and remote deployment of cloud and edge software.
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve deployment efficiency.
• Ensure security and compliance of pipelines.
• Maintain IaC using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Monitor performance and ensure high availability of systems.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends to improve DevOps processes.
• Collaborate with embedded software and frontend/backend teams.
• Optimize build/release for speed and scalability.
• Develop and maintain release notes and technical documentation.
