Hours: Continental Rotation (0700-1900/1900-0700)
Payrate: $23.91 - $25.38/hr.

Job Description & Functions

• Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training.
• Ensures all standing orders and scheduled activities are carried out each shift.
• Ensures site staff adhere to all security policies and procedures.
• Plans and implements shift work schedules.
• Ensures all security guards receive mandatory training.
• Motivates staff and issues commendations.
• Disciplines staff when necessary, with proper documentation.
• Manages attendance.
• Performs security audits.
• Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints.
• Communicates concerns/issues with the Client Service Manager.

Requirements

• At least one year of security experience in a team lead role preferred.
• Post-secondary education in law enforcement/security from a recognized college preferred.
• Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Punctuality, reliability, tact, and diplomacy.
• IAHSS certification is an asset.
• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Immunization records including MMR, Varicella, and two TB tests. How to get immunization records. Immunization Form.
• First Aid & CPR Level C.
• Covid Vaccination.
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
• Option to complete UoF/MOAB training prior to onboarding; costs covered by Paladin with a 6-month commitment.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
