Job summary

Xenon Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Project Manager/Associate Director, Discovery Project Management to drive and coordinate discovery-stage small molecule programs. The role involves collaboration with Chemistry, Biology, CMC, Toxicology, and external functions such as Finance and Legal, reporting to the Director of Discovery Project Management.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in chemistry or biology.
• At least 5 years in drug discovery in biotech/pharma.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PM tools addressing scope, schedule and budget.
• Manage Discovery-stage CROs (FTE and FE arrangements).
• Handle contract activities (drafting, change control, invoicing, accruals).
• Coordinate external studies, protocol drafting and study director communication.
• Lead cross-functional meetings; track actions and timelines; manage critical paths.
