Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited in Canada is seeking a Senior Director of Site Reliability Engineering to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for scalable, reliable platforms across ecommerce and digital solutions.

You will direct both onshore and offshore development efforts, collaborate with enterprise IT and product teams, and drive continuous delivery with a strong emphasis on velocity, quality, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Director or Senior Director leading high performing teams in a large volume ecommerce environment.
• Experience with Cloud Native, Web and Mobile delivery and Continuous Delivery.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on technologist who can dive deep and influence others with urgency and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent and timely delivery of new features in an agile environment with high quality.
• Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary engineering team; mentor and recruit top talent.
• Collaborate with business and tech teams to define and deliver complex customer solutions.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations and balance business vs technical constraints.
• Partner with product management to improve development methodologies using modern tech.
