Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :
- Promote the vision and values of the organization. Ensure management and employees understand and share these values, aligning plans and activities accordingly.
- Participate in developing a shared vision for the Division, adhering to principles of modern controllership. Assist in engaging the management team to deliver that vision through annual business planning and setting divisional goals.
- Provide leadership in managing and delivering programs and services, establishing policies, standards, and performance expectations, and maintaining service levels. Support quality management and continuous improvement initiatives, evaluating their effectiveness and cost-benefit.
- Assist in planning the division's financial, physical, and human resources, including budgets. Ensure effective resource management and health and safety systems.
- Build and maintain relationships with other WSIB leaders and staff to discuss organizational issues, implications, and solutions, fostering teamwork to achieve corporate goals.
- Serve as a senior expert providing leadership and technical advice to Vice Presidents and Directors on relevant matters and initiatives.
- Participate in senior management activities, including review, planning, and implementation of organization-wide strategies, demonstrating trust and teamwork.
- Manage inter-divisional projects, ensuring they are successful and support the organization's strategic goals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external partners such as other workers' compensation boards, government agencies, stakeholders, and industry groups, as directed.
Job Requirements :
- Education: Undergraduate university degree with significant experience in program development and delivery.
- Experience: Over 10 years in progressively responsible leadership roles within large organizations dealing with insurance, disability management, or public sector services. Public sector experience and exposure to diverse stakeholders are preferred.
