Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in benefits or total rewards.
  • 5+ years leading global benefits programs and teams.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. health and welfare plans and retirement governance.
  • Experience with M&A due diligence, integration, and organizational transformation.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost management skills.
  • Knowledge of benefits governance and risk management across jurisdictions.
  • Ability to influence senior executives in a matrixed environment.
  • Willingness to work in-office 5 days/week.

  • Lead benefits planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business case development.
  • Support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, divestitures, and organizational transformation.
  • Foster a high-performing team culture focused on innovation and operational excellence.

OpenText is seeking a strategic and transformational leader to oversee the global strategy, governance, and optimization of our benefits and retirement programs. Partnering with regional rewards leaders across 40+ countries, this role ensures programs are competitive, compliant, financially sustainable, and aligned with our business strategy and commitment to employee well-being.

Reporting within the Total Rewards function, this leader will also oversee the Americas Benefits team and drive key initiatives including M&A due diligence and integration, benefits modernization, and employee experience enhancements.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring
  • 12+ years of experience in benefits, total rewards, or a related HR discipline.
  • 5+ years leading global benefits programs and teams in a multinational organization.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. health and welfare plans, self-insured programs, and retirement plan governance.
  • Experience with M&A due diligence, integration, and organizational transformation.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Knowledge of benefits governance, compliance, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive strategic decisions in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Willingness to work in-office 5 days/week.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a global technology or enterprise software workforce.
  • Knowledge of global benefits trends and best practices.
  • Experience with benefits technology, HRIS platforms, and data analytics.
  • Professional certifications such as CEBS, CCP, CBP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR.

Compensation

At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we’re happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off. Base comp in CAD: 180,450 - 230,575 USD: 187,900 - 264,500
