Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or related field; PhD considered an asset.
  • 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in executive education, corporate training, or related sector.
  • Proven leadership in a collaborative environment; ability to motivate and build consensus.
  • Strong vision for development and promotion of DeGroote Executive Education.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; adaptable to audiences.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain executive-level relationships across sectors.
  • Experience in business development, complex sales, and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience selling professional services to Chief Learning Officers, CHROs and CEOs.
  • Proven ability to generate revenue growth and sustainable margins.
  • Complete integrity and judgment; able to handle confidential matters.
  • Ability to innovate and mobilise resources for priorities.
  • Strong drive and focus on strategic objectives to enhance national and international reputation.
  • Experience leading innovation and disruptive technologies in executive education.
  • Experience in university context is an asset; knowledge of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion regulations.
  • Ability to deal with stressful and confidential matters, including mental health considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic vision, leadership, and governance for the Executive Education portfolio.
  • Lead multi-year strategy, planning, and risk management with senior leadership.
  • Develop partnerships across corporate, government, and not-for-profit sectors to expand revenue.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight of design, delivery, and continuous improvement of non-degree and micro-credential programs.
  • Use data and feedback to evaluate portfolio effectiveness and drive innovation.
  • Lead financial and operational oversight including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Guide organizational design, talent development, and performance management.
  • Direct cross-functional, international, and externally funded initiatives.
  • Represent the School and university externally to enhance reputation and partnerships.
