Job summary

National Bank in Montreal is seeking a Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture & Ontology to lead and evolve the strategic practice. You will define directions, governance, and standards, and drive a shared understanding across business and technology using AI-enabled insights.

You will shape an ontology connecting capabilities, processes, data, apps, interfaces, and controls, while guiding teams through governance and transformation activities.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of enterprise or solution architecture experience.
• Expertise in enterprise ontology, semantic modelling, and knowledge graphs.
• Experience with LeanIX and CMDBs.
• Knowledge governance, data quality, and data reconciliation across sources.
• Hands-on AI and automation applied to relationship discovery and enterprise capabilities.
• Strong understanding of integration architectures, APIs, event-driven architectures, cloud computing, and digital ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Shape the evolution of the enterprise architecture practice by defining directions, methods, standards, and priorities to support decision-making and transformation.
• Define and evolve an enterprise ontology that connects business capabilities, processes, data, applications, interfaces, technology components, and controls.
• Establish modelling principles, governance mechanisms, and accountabilities for a shared, reliable understanding of the enterprise.
• Leverage AI and automation to discover and reconcile relationships across LeanIX, the CMDB, and other sources while ensuring information quality and governance.
• Transform the enterprise ontology into products, views, integrations, and use cases that support strategic planning and transformation initiatives.
• Represent the practice in architecture and delivery forums, engage stakeholders, and measure adoption and value delivered.
