Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is seeking a seasoned DevOps/SCM professional to lead repository analysis, migration readiness, and CI/CD pipeline validation across GitHub and Bitbucket ecosystems.

You will work with developers and platform teams to map applications to repositories, validate configurations, and ensure secure, scalable deployment workflows. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, and automation scripting in Python, Bash, or Groovy.

Qualifications

• Experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, SCM Administration, or Release Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
• Experience supporting repository migrations or SCM platform transitions.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and DevSecOps practices.
• Hands-on exposure to tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent pipeline platforms.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Bitbucket and GitHub repositories, branching strategies, permissions, and integrations.
• Support application-to-repository mapping and migration readiness assessments.
• Execute repository analysis, validation, and migration support activities.
• Identify repository dependencies, build configurations, webhooks, and pipeline integrations.
• Support migration and validation of CI/CD pipelines to GitHub-compatible workflows.
• Troubleshoot migration issues related to repositories, permissions, integrations, and pipelines.
• Develop scripts/utilities for metadata extraction, validation, and migration automation.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, security, and platform teams; document findings, risks, and remediation plans.

MUST Have Skillsets

Experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, SCM Administration, or Release Engineering.

Strong hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and Bitbucket.

Experience supporting source code repository migrations or SCM platform transitions.

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and DevSecOps practices.

Hands-on exposure to tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent pipeline platforms.

Proficiency in scripting/programming using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Groovy.

Understanding of repository integrations, build tools, artifact repositories, and security controls.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Salary Range - CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 110,000 Per Year
