Job summary

MANNARINO Systems & Software Inc. is expanding its Montreal-area team with a hybrid DevOps/Systems Engineer role. You will administer Windows/Linux environments, support Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira and Artifactory, and develop automation via Ansible.

You will partner with North American and international teams to deliver scalable tooling and streamlined deployments. You will create documentation, train users, and drive incident resolution while embracing a culture of quality, collaboration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong experience administering Windows, Unix/Linux, and virtualized environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, and Artifactory.
  • Experience developing automation solutions using Ansible.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and software delivery best practices.
  • Experience supporting enterprise engineering platforms and development environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing incidents, service requests, and escalations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience creating technical documentation and delivering user training.
  • Ability to work in a global, multi-site environment.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support engineering tools and platforms across Windows, Unix/Linux, and virtualized environments.
  • Manage and support CI/CD toolchains including Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, and Artifactory.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks and automation solutions.
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshoot incidents, service requests, and platform-related issues.
  • Create and maintain technical and user documentation.
  • Deliver training and guidance to users on engineering tools and processes.
  • Monitor support performance and ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests.
  • Promote collaboration and alignment between North American and international engineering teams.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical authorities, architects, and stakeholders to identify and implement optimal tools and processes.
  • Support deployment and lifecycle management of engineering workbenches and platforms.
  • Manage escalations, problem resolution activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain inventories, system mappings, configurations, and platform documentation.
  • Produce reporting and metrics related to support activities, incidents, and service requests.

Miscellaneous Requirements
  • The work model is hybrid (minimum 3 days per week at the office in Montreal).
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written French is mandatory.
  • Ability to collaborate with international teams across multiple time zones.
