Job summary

lululemon Athletica is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Dev Ops for Retail Services in Canada. The role focuses on secure, reliable, and performant production systems across the retail tech stack.

You will mentor engineers, support pre-prod to prod deployments, and contribute to a high-velocity Agile release process. Hybrid workplace with onsite collaboration required, including four days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in DevOps or related field.
• Proven experience with GitLab CI/CD and automation tools.
• Strong Kubernetes and containerization knowledge, especially EKS.
• Experience with Kafka for real-time data processing and streaming.
• Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps environments.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting.
• Certifications in Kubernetes, AWS, or security-related fields are a plus.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tooling like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, PagerDuty, ELK).
• Familiarity with cost optimization and resource rightsizing.
• Retail or e-commerce domain experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and operations across pre-production to production environments.
• Collaborate with Tech Manager to guide engineering teams.
• Provide escalation point for production concerns and potentially participate in on-call rotation.
• Contribute to Agile release processes and maintain production systems health.
