Job summary

Electronic Arts is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, deploy and operate cloud-based services, interacting with backend infrastructure. The role emphasizes automation, uptime, and cross-team collaboration across a global landscape.

You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to secure, scalable infrastructure while supporting live gaming services and feature launches in a hybrid work model in Vancouver, Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant experience with public cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) including design, implementation and support.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform) and container workloads (Kubernetes/Docker).
• Experience with configuration management (Chef/Ansible) and monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub) and Python/Go/Ruby.

Responsibilities

• Deploy public cloud hosted services in an automated and maintainable way.
• Troubleshoot deployment, connectivity, performance and uptime issues.
• Establish secure deployment and support models.
• Automate routine system administration tasks.
• Maintain system configuration and runbooks for live support.
• Provide on-call support for launches and events.
• Collaborate with global teams for sun-following operations.
• Mentor junior engineers and new hires.
• Partner with Dev, IT and hosting providers to scale infrastructure.
