Purpose of Job

EQ Bank’s IT team is evolving and needs a talented Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong passion for this space. The role requires experience and knowledge of the entire software build chain, operations, and automated build and release processes.

Main Activities

  1. Design, improve, and implement build and release pipelines
  2. Provide subject matter expertise to developers and testers on DevOps tools and processes
  3. Collaborate with the larger team to exchange knowledge and build robust development practices
  4. Research and analyze emerging technologies to support the DevOps team
  5. Continuously improve performance and resolve bottlenecks to reduce build and delivery time
  6. Build and maintain high-availability CI/CD infrastructure
  7. Lead capacity planning, performance analysis, and system tuning
  8. Review and provide feedback on specifications
  9. Perform code reviews, static and security analyses, and implement unit tests

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as JavaScript, Groovy, Bash, Python, or Shell
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CloudFormation
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI
  • Proven success in process improvement and developer productivity enhancement
  • Experience with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (3+ years)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems, Engineering or equivalent
