Could you be the full-time hybrid Senior DevOps Engineer in Toronto, CA we’re looking for?

Your future role

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Specialist to join our team and contribute to our infrastructure modernization and automation efforts. You will work alongside innovative teammates to modernize and automate our infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and scalability. Your daily tasks will involve collaborating with engineering, IT, and project stakeholders to optimize DevOps infrastructure and support various projects.

We’ll look to you for:

1. Defining architecture and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
2. Assessing and optimizing current DevOps infrastructure.
3. Collaborating with project stakeholders to define and execute deployment strategies tailored to project needs and timelines.
4. Defining branching strategies and maintaining version control using GitLab, ensuring code integrity.
5. Providing expertise on configuration management, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
6. Promoting continuous improvement by documenting and implementing best practices and standards.
7. Evaluating and adopting new tools and technologies to enhance DevOps capabilities.
8. Training and mentoring junior team members on DevOps practices and tools.

1. Degree in Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
2. Experience or understanding of DevOps practices, including IaC solutions with Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
3. Knowledge of VMware and Suse Harvester virtualized environments.
4. Familiarity with GitLab for version control and branching strategies.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
6. Expertise in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, and PowerShell scripting.
7. Experience with Linux systems administration (e.g., Suse, Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
8. Proficiency in shell scripting (e.g., Bash).
