Job summary

Bilinguallink in Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to support the acquisitions team by reviewing zoning bylaws, design guidelines, drawings and covenants; manage site due diligence and prepare site prep budgets.

You will lead interactions with clients on build-to-suit opportunities, accelerate permit issues to protect schedules, and collaborate with construction and development teams through the full project life cycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Development Manager experience specifically in Industrial.
• Experience in managing approvals and pre-construction for speculative and built-to-suit industrial projects in Ontario.
• Knowledge of Ontario building code, a strong understanding of legal contracts and title documents and knowledge of Rezone, SPA and BP process.

• Review land due diligence packages and create site prep budgets.

Your new role

The current opening is for an experienced Senior Development Manager. This individual will support the development acquisitions team by reviewing zoning bylaws, design guidelines and drawings and restricted covenants. They will review land due diligence packages and create site prep budgets. Furthermore this individual will meet with potential clients regarding build-to-suit opportunities and expedite any permit issues, to maintain project schedules and the level of quality of each project. They will work closely with the construction and development teams for the entire project life.

What you’ll need to succeed

The successful incumbent for this role will have 5+ years of Development Manager experience specifically in Industrial. They will have experience in managing approvals and pre-construction for speculative and built-to-suit industrial projects in Ontario from conception to site approval. This Development Manager will be an effective communicator, and be able to conduct a professional presentation to senior level management. Finally they will have sound knowledge of Ontario building code, a strong understanding of legal contracts and title documents and knowledge of Rezone, SPA and BP process.
