Job summary

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. is seeking a senior project development professional to lead hydro, wind, solar, and storage projects from end to end.

You will manage land, regulatory, environmental, and community relations aspects, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to deliver viable projects. The role requires over 5 years of renewable energy development experience, a university degree, and willingness to travel across Canada and North America.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, environmental studies, urban planning, social sciences, or related field.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in regulated environments.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel across Canada and North America (approx. 30%).

Responsibilities

• Lead all stages of project development: scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and coordination of stakeholders.
• Manage environmental assessment process and secure required permits.
• Develop community consultation strategies and organize public information sessions.
• Oversee land acquisition and relationships with landowners, local partners, and Indigenous communities.
• Structure and manage business partnerships with local project partners.
• Collaborate on interconnection strategies and engage with authorities.
• Ensure smooth hand-off to Construction and provide post-commissioning support.
