Job summary

ISG Search Inc in Toronto is seeking a Senior Development Accountant to support the accounting for active development projects from acquisition through construction and stabilization. You will work closely with finance and development teams on budgeting, reporting, and cash flow tracking.

The role offers exposure to large-scale residential and commercial projects, with four days in the office and a clear path for career growth within a stable real estate platform.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of development accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of development project accounting and cost tracking.
• Experience with construction loan draws, development budgets, and project reporting.
• Exposure to financial statements, lender reporting, and JV structures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit construction loan draws
• Track development costs, capitalized interest, and project funding activity
• Monitor development budgets against actual spending and investigate variances
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Support JV, lender, and investor reporting requirements
• Review work from outsourced property accountants and ensure accuracy of reporting
• Assist with forecasting, project cash flow tracking, and financial analysis
• Support ongoing project reporting and ad hoc development finance requirements
