National Bank of Canada seeks a Senior Developer in Platform Data Engineering on the Horizon team to design, develop and operationalise a data and analytics platform based on Snowflake and AWS cloud services. This role enables modernising solutions through expertise in data engineering, automation and DevOps practices.

The position focuses on building robust data pipelines, automation with Terraform, DataOps, governance and secure, scalable analytics delivery, with a flexible hybrid work

Formación

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or a related field, and 5 to 7 years of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain robust, efficient and scalable data pipelines on AWS and Snowflake.
• Data ingestion, transformation and exposure mechanisms to ensure availability, reliability and scalability.
• Evolve the data platform by automating the infrastructure with Terraform and applying DataOps best practises.
• Define and implement development, security, governance, documentation and automated testing standards.
• Optimize code quality and solution performance through code reviews, AI-assisted development tools, and CI/CD practices.
• Support team members by sharing your technical expertise and actively contributing to agile activities and releases.
