Role: Senior Designer

Location: Toronto, ON (Remote)

About the role: Inside Ideas is looking for a Senior Designer to drive visual design initiatives for our major clients on their e-commerce team. The Senior Designer will work remotely with our award-winning eComm team, leading by example in creating innovative work, from brainstorming to client presentations, ensuring deadlines are met. Collaboration across disciplines is essential, maintaining high standards for concepts and execution.

What you will be doing:

• Create compelling visual design solutions that meet strategic business and brand objectives across various e-commerce formats.
• Own the work from concept through production, responsible and accountable for deliverables.
• Develop and deliver work that elevates clients’ brand appeal within the eCommerce space, emphasizing strong visual and typographical aesthetics.
• Articulate and defend conceptual and directional choices with clients.
• Collaborate with copywriters, producers, project managers, and other creatives to produce high-quality work.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous creative improvement and innovation.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships within the agency.

What you need to be great in this role:

• BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of digital design experience.
• Background in eCommerce is desirable but not mandatory.
• Basic understanding of creative GenAI tools and a drive to innovate using these tools.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); video/motion skills are a plus.
• Knowledge of digital standards, HTML5, AfterEffects, and experience with review & markup tools like Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to incorporate feedback effectively.
• Strong client interaction skills.
• Good communication, proactive project management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Respectful collaboration across departments.
• Strong conceptual and visual aesthetic skills.
• A progressive portfolio showcasing past work.
