Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking a senior design engineer in controls to design control and protection systems for high‑voltage substations and hydroelectric power plants across Canada. You will participate in onsite work to ensure quality and compliance before energization and play a key role in managing projects, coordinating with clients, and delivering high‑quality outcomes.

• Knowledge of protection-relay test equipment and onsite monitoring is a plus.

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering.
• More than 10 years of experience in control projects at Hydro‑Québec.
• Knowledge of E3 design software.
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; English may be used occasionally or daily depending on current projects.
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec.
• Available for short‑ and long‑term work assignments at client sites.
• Asset: knowledge of protection‑relay test equipment and onsite monitoring.
