Senior Design Engineer

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to work for a leading and innovative engineering company based in Southampton.

Introduction

The primary role of the Senior Design Engineer will be to lead design and analysis, delivering qualified design solutions on client-based development programs.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead design and analysis
2. Deliver design solutions to customer requirements
3. Develop new product designs
4. Design test rigs
5. Utilize SolidWorks and Hyperworks software

Ideal Experience:

• Ideally 5+ years industrial experience in a mechanical design role
• 3D CAD experience, preferably with SolidWorks
• FEA systems experience, preferably with Hyperworks
• Experience in project delivery within design and/or analysis roles
• Stress analysis experience is a plus
• Ability to perform fundamental engineering calculations
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office products, including MS Project
• Experience with composites is advantageous

Additional Details:

Hours: Day Shift with flexible start and finish times

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
