Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Professional Engineering Aircraft Integrator - Defense to lead the design and integration of airframe structures and systems. The role requires deep aerospace know-how, strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams and external partners, and a track record of delivering design solutions on time and within budget.

You will coordinate bids, develop preliminary layouts, and drive manufacturing feasibility while ensuring compliance with certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Technologist or bachelor’s in mechanical/aerospace engineering with 10+ years in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft structures and systems installation: configuration, sizing, DFM, GD&T.
• Familiar with aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in CATIA V5, Enovia; MS Office; NX/Teamcenter a plus.
• Fluent in English; French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to develop structure and system installation layouts for the complete Airframe on new and existing aircraft programs.
• Interface with stress, systems, interiors, and support functions such as thermodynamics, mass properties, etc.
• Provide customization bids and ensure viability for cost, schedule and certifiability within restraint response times.
• Generate preliminary design studies and layouts using 3D modeling.
• Provide technical solutions to resolve design or manufacturing issues.
• Generate and execute weight savings ideas.
• Supply input to impact analysis (technical, cost, schedule).
• Support other engineering and operations departments.
• Lead design reviews with partners/suppliers; provide status to management.
• Manage design changes through all cycles of change management.
