Job summary

The Dufresne Group is seeking a Senior Database Developer for the eCommerce team at the Home Office, located at 147 Commerce Drive, Winnipeg, MB. You will manage data infrastructure and assets, lead design and implementation of complex data interfaces, and develop OLTP/OLAP databases to support ecommerce operations.

You will focus on SQL and PL/SQL development, ETL processes, data modeling, and performance tuning, with a strong emphasis on data integrity and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Experience with SQL Server 2019+ and SSIS/SSRS/SSAS required.
• 7+ years of ETL development experience.
• Strong technical background in SQL Server infrastructure, architecture, security and data integrity.
• Experience with data models, reporting, data marts, analytic cubes, and visualization.
• Ability to communicate complex technical info to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement complex data interfaces and OLTP/OLAP databases.
• Model and implement transactional, ETL staging, and analytics databases and cubes.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to automate and increase efficiency of data processing.
• Develop SQL code with emphasis on performance, using functions, procedures, views, and triggers.
• Manage SQL code in a source control system and enforce coding standards.
• Train other teams on code implementation and best practices.
• Write clean, fast code with data integrity through constraints and rules.
